Ingredients
- For bean spread:
- 2 C C. beans (white bean, great northern, pinto)
- 2 TBS extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 TBS prepared horseradish
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp marjoram
- 1/2 tsp mace
- Salt to taste
- For sandwich:
- Seeded rye bread toasted
- Mushrooms sliced
- Lettuce
- Tomato sliced thick

Instructions
- Combine all ingredients for bean spread in a food processor and mix until well blended. To assemble the sandwich spread a thick layer of bean spread onto the toasted rye bread, top with mushrooms, lettuce, and tomato.
- Serve open faced.
